Mens Fashion -Can it help you attract the ladies?

YES IT CAN! I love a man in good clothes who looks like he cares about himself!

Lets face it, James Bond simply wouldn't be as seductive and suave if he went running around in his joggers and hoodie while fighting the bad guys. Even if the guy isn't that good looking if he dresses well he is instantly more attractive -I'm sure most girls would agree with me on this too!

Mens fashion usually follows similar trends to womenswear, pastels and bright colours are very in this year and always create a statement to grab a girls attention. Another thing that is usually forgotten in menswear is accessories, I think that the right accessories can really make an outfit stand out. So even if you aren't brave enough to go for the neon or pastel trend you could bring this out in jewellery (by wearing say an orange belt or yellow watch). These are a few pieces I picked out:
H&M orange blazer - £59.99

Forever 21 - Hooded Utility Jacket £39.75
This one is great if you're not feeling brave enough to wear the bright or pastel colours!

H&M yellow striped t-shirt - £9.99

ASOS Icon brand beaded bracelet - £13.00

Superdry orange twill shirt - £44.99

Here are some images of mens fashion trends to give you an idea:

So it's up to you guys, if you want to stick with the same boring jeans and t-shirt look you can but just remember, even an average guy can look amazingly hot if he's wearing the right clothes. K.J X

Blog Bites - healthy snack, tomato bread!

I always struggle to find snacks that are tasty and filling but not calorific! Just because you are trying to eat healthy doesn't mean it has to be boring. Being a great lover of italian food, I wanted to recreate the tomato bread served at a restaurant in my area, that was healthier, simple and quick. Unlike the tomato bread at the restaurant which uses pizza dough, this recipe uses Warburtons square wraps and make a lovely thin crispy base that tastes great.

The ingredients I use for my tomato bread:
  • 1 Warburtons square wrap
  • 2 tablespoons of passata
  • Some basil (fresh or dried)
  • A drizzle of garlic oil

This is a super delicious snack that is only around or just over 200 calories, yummy!

I have also tried some of the suggestions that come on the back of the Warburtons packet, there is a lighter pizza option again using some passata, adding cheese and picking your own toppings! I definitely think that these wraps are the way to go if you are looking either for something to snack on or for a lighter meal option, also because they are so diverse. Enjoy! K.J. X

8 things I have found helpful when losing weight/toning my body!

It's February and by now most people who made the new years resolution to loose weight have given up. THINKING OF GIVING UP? It's too cold, you're too tired, and there's just not enough time in the day. Well stop right there! Don't make excuses! These are the things that I have found most helpful when training:

  1. EATING REGULARLY - this is the best piece of advice that was ever given to me. The most common mistake you can make whilst trying to lose weight is not eating enough. Food is the fuel your body uses to burn off fat and gives you the energy to do your exercises! When I was in high school I used to skip breakfast and often lunch too and although I was thin I couldn't keep it up! I found that I felt very sluggish and run-down and constantly felt hungry. Not to mention that by the time I came home I was so starving that I often ate 3 chocolate bars. As you can imagine I gained quite a lot of weight, but, because it went on slowly I didn't notice just how damaging this was.
  2. VARYING EXERCISE -I find it very important to vary my exercises throughout the week in both cardio and weight training. If you're doing the same exercises day in - day out not only will you get extremely bored you will also reach a plateau. I used to follow the same weight training programme everyday for a long time and although it gave me results I found that it wasn't benefiting my whole body. By changing up my exercise routine everyday (abs day Monday, legs day Tuesday, Pilates Wenesday ect) I've found that it is giving me the results I want, although I still have a little bit of toning left to do!
  3. ALLOWING MYSELF ODD TREATS - If I don't have regular treats (I usually eat them once a week) I find myself getting depressed and going on a binge decimating the kitchen leaving no edible thing untouched. (Well maybe not quite but I'm pretty bad haha) Allowing yourself a little treat each week helps to keep you motivated and on track towards your goal!
  4. TAKING A REST DAYS -for me taking a rest day allows my body to recover and re-charges me almost like a battery! The work out the day after is always good.
  5. DRINKING LOTS OF WATER -obviously this is a must for everybody regardless of whether you exercise or not. When you work-out you lose water through sweat so drinking lots of water replenishes the water lost through perspiration. Plus you have great skin!
  6. GETTING LOTS OF SLEEP - similarly to rest days getting lots of sleep allows you to recharge,  after a long nights sleep I wake up refreshed and ready to go!
  7. NEVER USE THE WORD DIET ` i hate that word. It makes me feel depressed just typing it. I just think of it as my new lifestyle. Thats why I try to make it as enjoyable as I can, that way it will become a permanent change!
  8. LASTLY, its far better to get your friends to work out with you. If thats not possible tip I would suggest is being part of a community (such as the fitspo tag on tumblr) so you can share progress and tips. This kept me motivated when I wanted to quit most, that and imagining where I would be in 1 month, 6 months... A year! The progress I have made is amazing and so fulfilling!
This was me at prom 2-3 years ago:                      This is me now!

These are all of my progress pictures! I have come a long way since I first made the decision to lose weight! Don't give up, remember if other people can do it you can do it too! K.J. X

I'm Perfection Collection from Illamasqua!

With spring just around the corner I've been looking for some cute nail polishes to showcase the season! Illamasqua's new collection I'm Perfection has some beautiful pastel shades as well as some new blusher duos, a lipstick and lipgloss. The nail polishes remind me of mini eggs because they have a speckled finish, so I think they're the perfect nails to have for Easter! There are five new shades in total:

NAIL POLISH IN FRECKLE - I'm not exactly sure what shade this would be classed as but to me it looks like a mustard yellow/beige colour!

NAIL POLISH IN SPECKLE - This is a joint favourite of mine along with fragile, I love the idea of lilac nails for spring!

NAIL POLISH IN FRAGILE - My other favourite shade of the collection in a lovely pale pastel blue!

NAIL POLISH IN SCARCE - Stunning pastel pink, I really dont know how I'm going to decide which one to get!

NAIL POLISH IN MOTTLE - And finally, mottle! I love pastel green so this is again another favourite of mine!

I will definitely be ordering the lilac and pastle blue nail polishes, but I have a feeling I'll be online again to order the rest of the collection! I'll post some pictures and a review of the polishes when they arrive! K.J. X
