Blog Bites - healthy snack, tomato bread!

I always struggle to find snacks that are tasty and filling but not calorific! Just because you are trying to eat healthy doesn't mean it has to be boring. Being a great lover of italian food, I wanted to recreate the tomato bread served at a restaurant in my area, that was healthier, simple and quick. Unlike the tomato bread at the restaurant which uses pizza dough, this recipe uses Warburtons square wraps and make a lovely thin crispy base that tastes great.

The ingredients I use for my tomato bread:
  • 1 Warburtons square wrap
  • 2 tablespoons of passata
  • Some basil (fresh or dried)
  • A drizzle of garlic oil

This is a super delicious snack that is only around or just over 200 calories, yummy!

I have also tried some of the suggestions that come on the back of the Warburtons packet, there is a lighter pizza option again using some passata, adding cheese and picking your own toppings! I definitely think that these wraps are the way to go if you are looking either for something to snack on or for a lighter meal option, also because they are so diverse. Enjoy! K.J. X
